To My Dearest Children 5-Mothers Day-2009 Today is the most precious day of remembrance in my entire life...Mothers day.......... It is on this day that in every way possible the Mothers I know must be remembered with the Gratitude for the lives they have provided. In the past months in broken bits of remembrance, many events have recalled the actions of those who are now Mothers and who must be forever remembered in the good things they did and accomplished in their lives. I remembered in my dream of a few nights ago the anguished but loving cry of my own Mother on Mothers Day morning in 1940..”Oh Ree—Dear Lord help me to know what to do to stop the bleeding” and then a few moments? Later, an anguished scream,,,, “Will..Please help me, you can vomit later” Then after every one of eight children had safely arrived in this world, with the passion that only a true Mother can show, each one of you were delivered into my arms for the first time, complete, and healthy and with sort of a Mothers prediction and hope of what you might become and that you also would have children as strong and vital in life as the infant we were holding in our arms.. And now these many years later, when considering what your children are and have become Marietta was so very right and wise in the things she said and predicted.. If anyone anywhere thinks there is a Mother on this earth (for she is still here with us) who can see more talent and goodness in their offspring than the eight of you have generated bourne and taught I must honestly disagree. The qualities you (and the s pouses you chose as well) have all been taught learned and are passing on to children are those of virtue and gospel love, most of it learned from your Mother, and I am in awe of everything that is happening in your lives as you live and exemplify the vital qualities of a Mothers love given to you with Gospel integrity as the Savior would do..... Marietta was (and still is) in awe of every one of you Mothers in the Family. Thank you for teaching your children and repeating the cycle of Mothers Love. Yes, and you too Pat for your love for siblings and then children as well.... Please know that you are part of an Eternal family.....Wrinkles and warts and all and I love every one of you dearly and want you to know this love is as real as I know how to make it so
